MISSION

 

In the frame of Assembly Integration and Test (AIT) activities, SITAEL is looking for an experienced satellite AIT Manager, which will act as focal point of the AIT activities in the frame of satellite development programs, at equipment, subsystem and satellite level, leading mechanical, thermal, electrical, EMC testing. A high-level experience (at least 7 years) in the field of Space Engineering is required, with a focus on AIT activities. Experience on test facilities related activities management and space projects test campaign is requested.

The AIT Manager will report to the Company's AIT Lead Engineer.

 

RESPONSABILITIES

 

  • Lead the definition, planning and implementation of the assembly, integration and test of satellites and their equipment/subsystems.
  • Manage iteration with test and integration Facilities, manage inputs to facilities and contribute to definition of satellite development plan.
  • Contribute to the definition of GSE tools to increase quality and efficiency within AIT operations.
  • Conception and definition of test procedures, test plans and test strategies in alignment with design, system engineering and project management.
  • Definition of Assembly Integration and Test flow considering availability of manpower, GSE and facilities.
  • Definition, design and implementation of hardware and software solutions for automated test, verification and qualification.
  • Provide design feedback according to testing constraints and results.
  • AIT team management and motivation in the frame of the specific program.
  • Lead test campaign at internal and external facilities, including satellite launch campaign

 

TECHINCAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

 

  • A Master degree in engineering or science discipline is required, with Aerospace/Electronic/Mechanical/ Telecommunication/Computer Engineering would be advantageous
  • At least 7 years of experience in the space industry, extensive experience in AIT engineering at satellite level
  • Good knowledge of AIT testing facilities
  • Good knowledge of Space Qualification and Acceptance test campaigns standard as per ECSS/MIL
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products, along with proficiency in use of IBM Rational DOORS
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Pragmatical approach for test activities
  • Communication, leadership, team-working, adaptability and accountability skills
  • Proactive problem-solving with drive to chase issues through to their conclusion
