Position Mission

The resource will be responsible for the creation and management of the technical and economic offer documents of Mermec Engineering (BU Pisa). He / She will cooperate with the representative of our different LOBs and with the Commercial Management, personally following any revisions up to the signing of the contracts.

 

Responsibilities

  • By proactively supporting commercial activities, the candidate will regularly scout tenders of interest and will participate in meetings with clients, directly liaising for all of the operational needs of the case.
  • Analyse the documents relating to Request for Offers and/or Quotations and/or participation in National and International tenders.
  • Prepare the technical and economic offer documents together with the representatives of the various LOBs and the Commercial Direction, managing any revisions up to the signing of the order.
  • Interact with the Purchasing Office / Suppliers when it is needed to provide external services or materials on offer, collecting the information necessary to comply with the required features.
  • Collaborate to analyse and verify the adequacy of orders and contracts.
  • Support the project management team during the handover phase towards the execution phase, sharing all the offer details previously collected.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing professionals to support the preparation and participation in fairs, events, and workshops.
  • Provide support in the negotiation of offers and commercial presentations to potential customers.
  • He / She will be also responsible for managing the corporate CRM, updating it regularly and providing periodic reports to the management on the overall situation of the Company's commercial activities (such as opportunities, achievements, etc).
  • Support the Group Funding Office in the economic reporting of financial projects, based on the indications of the tender and the reporting guidelines.
  • Collect and verify the documentation of partners necessary to submit proposals; ongoing, manage relations between funding bodies and partners.
  • Support the Finance department in the management of the economic and financial phase both in the tendering and in the executive phase.

 

Technical Skills, Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Degree in Economics or equivalent (Management engineering)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • English fluency
  • Procurement code knowledge
