POSITION MISSION

In the context of the design and development of Diagnostic Systems for railway applications, MERMEC is looking for candidates for the position of SYSTEM ENGINEER

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

The work consists in performing engineering activities on all the products of the Diagnostic Systems Business Unit within but Application and Development projects, providing technical support to all the stakeholders in relation to all the engineering aspects of the product, like technical advisory and operative activities. The candidate shall work within a System Engineering Team reporting to the System Engineering Team Leader and be allocated to specific Product or Application Teams according to the workplan.

Engineering Activities:

· Calibration & Tuning

· Data Analysis

· Investigation and Problem Solving

· Technical Advisory

· Electrical measurements

· Mechanical measurements

· Systems operating


Software activities:

· OS installation and configuration

· Network configuration and diagnostic

· Software installation and configuration

· Standard OS maintenance activities


QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/TECHNICAL SKILLS

The ideal candidate has an electronic or computer science engineering background, with at least two years of working experience in electronic, automotive, railway or oil & gas industry, good communication and autonomy skills, knowledge of English and Italian, availability to travel within the country and abroad. A preliminary training period of 2-4 months will take place before the start of the activities. The training (or part of it) could eventually take place at the parent company facility in Italy.

Position Mission In the aim of expanding the ETCS On Board System/Data Engineering Team, AngelStar is looking for a candidate to work in the Data Preparation engineering activities for the ETCS OBU specific application into rail vehicles.   Responsibilities - Identifying and analysing the input data and Customer/generally applicable requirements; - Collecting data input from the train integrator e define supplier data for ETCS OBU; - Designing the ETCS OBU data configuration, developing the relevant documentation; - Applying processes, methods & tool in accordance to AngelStar standards; - Carrying out the system integration activities in lab and on field for validating the data configuration.   Technical Skills, Qualifications and Professional Experience - Preferred, Degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering. - Preferred, Basic knowledge of the disciplines related to the On Board Systems: applicable norms, ETCS OBU function and architecture, European Technical Standards. - Knowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.) - Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation, with the attitude to contribute with constructive and practical ideas. - Readiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multitasking international environment. - Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects is required. - Availability for short-term national and international business trip.     Sosteniamo la parità di genere e promuoviamo un ambiente equo ed inclusivo.
