The Project Engineer is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of all application engineering activities related to the assigned project, planning, organizing and controlling all elements of the project, in order to ensure its accuracy and quality. The resource is the guarantor of an efficient technical dialogue with the Customer, dealing with the definition and implementation of the application requirements of the products, their integration and the release of the technical documentation.
The Project Engineer interprets the needs, expectations, and limitations of each, and bring them together with the aim of successful project delivery.
Carry out the analysis of the technical specifications related to application projects, in relation to the cross-cutting and integration requirements, coordinating with the Product Managers and the Function Managers and, together with them, highlighting and quantifying risks and costs of any evolutions necessary to ensure the compliance.
Define the most suitable technical and architectural solution to meet the requirements of the supply purpose.
Schedule, coordinate and monitor the progress of the assigned projects in the Application Engineering department.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project Manager and other project participants.
Verification of test results and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Schedule changes and corrective actions.
Support to all the involved departments (Electro-mechanical, Quality, RAMS, V&V, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Service).
Support commissioning activities.

POSITION MISSION The System Engineer is involved into the product engineering activities of the Railway Diagnostics BU, he will define the architecture and functionality of the diagnostic system, he will verify its configuration and operation. He will interact with the EMD, software, V & V departments in order to ensure proper functioning and adherence to the specifications of the diagnostic system. He will collaborate with the reference PROMs in the context of diagnostic systems development projects. RESPONSIBILITES The resource will work within a technical team (System Engineering) of the Hardware Design function, reporting to the relevant team leader (System Engineering manager).
