Position Mission
The System Engineer will oversee the integration, testing, validation, and commissioning of systems, both at Mermec's facilities and at customer sites.
Responsibilities
As a Junior System Engineer, you'll be involved in:
- Reviewing technical project specifications
- Assisting in the creation of technical project documentation
- Product configuration
- Conducting product testing at our premises
- Assisting in commissioning and testing at customer sites
- Providing customer training on system usage
- Assisting in remote system monitoring
- Contributing to statistical analysis of results
- Offering technical support to the Product Leader for feasibility studies and product optimization
Technical Skills, Qualifications and Professional Experience
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Automation
- Ideally, up to 2 years of relevant experience (including internships and co-op placements)
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with RAMS, EN-50126, SIL, and EN-50128 is a plus
- Exposure to international environments or projects is advantageous
- Proficiency in English (equivalent to B2 level)
- Solid understanding of computer systems in Windows environments and Office suite
- Basic knowledge of analog/digital electronics, signal analysis, metrology, statistical data analysis, optics, networking, and artificial vision systems is desirable
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel
